Online Ad Spend & Search Spend Trends
2012 is expected to be the year that marketers spend more on online advertising than print. US online advertising is expected to grow 23.3% to $39.5 billion in 2012, while spend on print is expected to reach only $33.8 billion. Online advertising will be a $62 billion market by 2016.
Internet advertising is only behind TV Ads which have spent $60.7 % in 2011 and expected $64.8 in 2012 and $72 billion by 2016.
Many researches suggest SEO is the most effective online marketing strategy. 2012 will become the Year of Mobile SEO. 1 out of 3 mobile searches is somehow related to local search. Search spending is half of all digital spending. Search Ad Spending Could Hit $19.51 Billion In 2012.
